Bengalis are considered to be the most intellectually evolved amongst all Indians - and Coffee House in Calcutta stands as the most prominent icon of intellectualism. Right from famous film director Satyajit Ray to all the bengali writers, poets, artists, politicians, activists have had innumerable cups of coffee and infusion (Cold Coffee, recipie home grown, etymology unknown) here.

Coffee House is not only a meeting place for them, it's a way of life.
