Description: Former child soldier Richard Ojara, 15, shows the scar from a gunshot wound which was inflicted by UPDF (Uganda Peoples Defense Force, national army) as he was making his way home after being released from the rebels. He was abducted in May of 2005 from the village of Koch Kweyo and released after 1 month of captivity. He is beign rehabilitated at the GUSCO (Gulu Support the Children Organization) Child Soldier Rehabilitaion Center in Gulu, Northern Uganda, Friday, October 28, 2005. Joseph Kony's rebel army LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) have abducted over 20,000 children in the last 18 years of war and turned them into child soldiers, porters or sex slaves.
